Open Access Policy

The Journal of Food and Agricultural Technology Research provides immediate open access to its published content, based on the principle that free and unrestricted access to scientific research enhances global knowledge exchange, innovation, and societal impact.

The concept of Open Access (OA) is grounded in internationally recognized initiatives, including:

  • The Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI)

  • The Bethesda Statement on Open Access Publishing

  • The Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities

Together, these initiatives form the widely accepted “BBB” definition of Open Access, which defines peer-reviewed research literature as:

“Freely available on the public internet, permitting any users to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts, and to use them for any lawful purpose, without financial, legal, or technical barriers other than those inseparable from gaining access to the internet itself.”

Open access represents a modern paradigm in scholarly publishing, ensuring that the intellectual value of authors’ research outputs is made immediately and permanently available without subscription or access fees.

All articles published in the Journal of Food and Agricultural Technology Research are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0). This license allows unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that the original work is properly cited. Copyright remains with the author, and published works may be freely reused for academic, educational, and societal purposes.

Repository Policy

The Journal of Food and Agricultural Technology Research permits authors to self-archive the final published version (publisher PDF) of their article immediately after publication. Authors may deposit the article on:

  • Personal or professional websites

  • Institutional or subject-based repositories (non-commercial servers)

When archiving, authors must clearly acknowledge the original publication in the journal and provide a direct link to the journal homepage or the article’s DOI.
