Varying Sowing Time Influences Morphological Attributes of Zinnia Cultivars

Abstract

Zinnias have been cherished by gardeners for many generations, and this enduring 
fascination has resulted in the development of numerous cultivars encompassing various sizes and 
plant types. Plants perform differently at different sowing times. The present research was 
conducted at the horticulture research area, college of Agriculture, University of Sargodha, on 
zinnia three verities to observe their morphological traits at different sowing times. For this 
experiment, zinnia verities were sown on three different dates. It was concluded that Zinnia cv 
Dwarf performed best in plant height, number of flowers, and leaf. While the Zinnia cv Cactus 
showed bigger flower size and larger leaf area. At all three sowing times, overall first sowing 
performed best in both verities
